Who We Are
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Here at carvercpr.org, we are a group of George Washington Carver alumni, descendants of alumni, and former educators in the Karnack community.
Our decision to form Carver CPR came from a lifetime interest in recapturing the spirit of connectedness and community support that have been the cornerstone of life throughout the years. We serve with a purpose of reclaiming and perpetuating the sense of village inherent and crucial for families to thrive.
The Longhorn Army ammunition plant ceased to be which created drastic economic decline had a domino affect on school enrollment & as result community youth having to attend a neighboring district.
If we knew this could be changed & turned around, then we could return a sense (beacon) of pride within the community & give alumni somewhere to reconnect, a home to which they can return.
